Selection Committee Announced
(September 1, 2006) - The Southeast Venture Conference (SEVC) selection committee is in place and is seeking presenting companies for the conference scheduled for January 31 and February 1, 2007 at the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Research Triangle Park, NC. The committee is comprised of highly regarded venture capitalists with industry expertise representing over $5.6 billion under management.

The principal purpose for the first Southeast Venture Conference is to showcase approximately 25 high growth private companies before a regional audience of venture capitalists, private equity investors, angel investors, investment bankers, and the technology community. Presenting companies should have talented management teams, proven market viability, proprietarty technology, high growth potential, and must be headquartered in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia/DC.
The initial deadline for presenting company applications is October 15, 2006.
Companies can download the application at www.seventure.org. Presenting companies should be high growth,innovative companies from the following industries: Business Services, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Energy, Software, Communications, Medical Devices, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Nanotech, Internet, and Defense.
