SEVC Call for Presenting Companies
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC - The Southeast Venture Conference (SEVC) selection committee is seeking presenting companies for the Conference scheduled January 31 and February 1, 2007 at The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC.
Presenting companies should be high growth, innovative companies in the following industries: Business Services, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Energy, Software, Communications, Medical Devices, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Nanotech, Internet, and Defense.
The principal purpose of the first Southeast Venture Conference is to showcase approximately 25 high growth private companies before a regional audience of venture capitalists, private equity investors, angel investors, investment bankers and the technology service community. Presenting companies should have talented management teams, proprietary technology, high growth potential and must be headquartered in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia/DC.
Companies can download the application at www.seventure.org and must submit by the initial deadline of October 15, 2006. These applications will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of venture capitalists and private equity investors.
The Southeast Venture Conference is presented by TechJournal South with co-chairs Mark Mirkin of Moore & Van Allen and Sheila Ahler of Cherry Bekaert & Holland to help support the innovation and entrepreneurial activity of emerging high growth technology companies from the southeast region resulting in economic growth in the Southeast.
